PCTFE is a copolymer that contains 49% fluorine. It has high compressive strength, high hardness, creep resistance, lowest moisture vapor transmission rate and very low gas permeance rate. Infrared, traviolet and visible lights are easily to penetrate through PCTFE. It also has excellent properties under low temperatre. PCTFE is a good mechanical sealing material in conditions of high pressure and low temperature.
Polytrifluoroethylene (PCTFE) is a homopolymer of trifluoroethylene and has a structure containing fluorine and chlorine atoms around the main carbon chain. The melting temperature was 213℃ and the density was 2.13g/cm3 (g/ CCM).
Main Properties
With excellent chemical stability, insulation and weather resistance, it can be used at -196℃ ~ 125℃ for a long time, and its mechanical strength and hardness are better than that of PTFE.
PCTFE has good low temperature resistance, no brittle fracture or creep in liquid nitrogen, liquid oxygen and liquefied natural gas, and can be used under certain conditions near absolute zero degree (-273°C).
PCTFE has excellent optical properties. The 3mm thick PCTFE plastic sheet is optically transparent.

Application
Excellent low temperature resistance of PCTFE, can be used to produce liquid nitrogen, liquid oxygen, liquid fuel sealing
materials; With the mechanical stability and excellent optical properties of PCTFE, it can be used for manufacturing pipe with wire buckle, pipe fitting, transparent viewing mirror, optical instrument, etc. Its excellent electrical properties can be used in the production of plug-ins, printed circuit boards used in a humid environment; It can also be used to make chlorofluorocarbon oil.
